Services and Benefits

The greatest benefit of membership is the wonderful camaraderie...but there's more.

CSA Annual Meetings

We sponsor an annual CSA Philatelic Convention and Exhibition held at various national stamp shows across the country. The Confederate Stamp Alliance Convention and Exhibition is the major annual gathering of Confederate collectors and features spectacular exhibits of Confederate stamps and covers.

CSA Authentication Service

As a service to the collector, the Confederate Stamp Alliance sponsors an authentication service for examining and rendering Certificates of Authentication on Confederate Stamps and Covers. Visit the Authentication Service Page

The Confederate Philatelist

The official publication for the Confederate Stamp Alliance is its award winning journal, The Confederate Philatelist. The journal is sent to all members on a quarterly basis.

Mentor Program

Ever had a question regarding a Confederate philatelic item and wish you knew someone who could give you an answer? Well, the CSA recognizes this need and has established a "Mentor Program" whereby you can call or email a very knowledgeable Confederate philatelist and fellow CSA member with your question.

CSA Rapid Scan ID Program

The Confederate Stamp Alliance Authentication Service has instituted a simplified program whereby a scan of your Confederate stamp or cover can be submitted for a rapid identification analysis. This is an opportunity to have your questions quickly answered about the proper identification of your CSA philatelic item without having to go through the sometimes lengthy formal certification process. The cost is also substantially less. Click here for full details.

Jefferson Davis Medallion Patriotic Cover used as a Soldier's Due 10 from Confederate occupied Columbus, Kentucky in January 1862. The cover was sent by Ordnance Sergeant R. L. Richardson of the 13th Louisiana Volunteers to his home in Jeaneretts St. Mary's Parish, Louisiana. From John Kimbrough (owner of this cover): This is one of my favorite covers. CSA Kentucky usage is very scarce. I have owned the cover for years, and it still resides in my private collection.
